Why is real leather so much more than leatherette?
The material. A sheet of genuine leather costs several times a sheet of leatherette, and every patch price here follows how many your size gets out of a sheet.
Will every patch look the same?
Close, but not identical. Genuine leather is a natural material, so grain and engraving depth vary a little from piece to piece. If you need dead-consistent color, leatherette is the better call.
How do I care for them?
Wait 24 hours after pressing before washing. Wash cool, no bleach, no hot dryer, and do not wring, iron or press the patch again once it is on. Dry cleaning is best.
